Mountain Weekend

In December a few of my oldest, closest friends and I rented a mountain house for a few days.  We relaxed, lounged, hiked, talked non-stop and had the time of our lives.  It was perfect.

After the first night of celebrating Corey's big 3-0, we woke up to beautiful weather!  It was about 65 degrees and so sunny.  We sat out on the deck for hours enjoying the beautiful mountain air and laughing until our stomachs hurt.

Check out that veiw!

What a cute little house?!

The second day we went for a hike around the cabin.  We managed not to get lost and we even found a cute little pond and a man who I swear was Santa Clause himself, in the flesh.  He was even eating cookies when we saw him :).

We stopped at the waterfall to take some pictures...

Andrea and Corey

Sarah and Lou

Liz and I.  :)

This is one of my favorite pictures of the bunch!

To get in the holiday tradition we made some gingerbread houses.  Mine is very amateur.  Sarah's, on the other hand, is pure professional.

About 8 years ago we started playing Cranium together, with Andrea and Liz on one team "the dingles" and Sarah and I on the other.  We have been fighting to be called the true champions of cranium ever since.  This weekend was no different.  It wouldn't be a weekend with these gals without the humdingers, sculpterades, and creative cats.  By the way, if you have never played Cranium - go out, get it, and give it a try.

We also tried a new game, Cards Against Humanity.  It's pretty similar to Apples to Apples, but just a little less PG.  Super funny, super fun.  Nice pick Lou!!

And we tried to get a good pic.

It only took a few tries.  Love these girls!

There's pilot mountain in the distance.  Gorgeous.

We try to get a weekend in together every year, more, if we are lucky.  Hopefully I get to see them all again soon!!!

Here is a link to our trip from this summer.  And here is more from our trip two years ago.
