Europe Part 4: Amsterdam

After the wedding in Breda, my entire family headed to Amsterdam and we took up almost an entire car of the eurorail on the way.  In Amsterdam we saw the sights, took a canal tour, and passed the time lounging, eating, and drinking in some amazing cafes.  The weather was beautiful, but I was a little surprised at how insanely crowded parts of the city were.

We started the trip off with a family canal tour...

The next day it was a bit cold and rainy, but we sucked it up and headed on a long walk, visited the Reik's Museum, which is right next to the "Iamsterdam" sign.

After the museum we wandered around the beautiful parks near the museum and took some goofy pictures.  They have quite a bit of fun stuff to explore.

We spent most of the day wandering around the canals, checking out shops, and stopping to eat and drink along the way. It was fabulous.

Later that night, we headed to the Sky Lounge to relax and get a drink.  It was gorgeous and so relaxing!  The bar is on the 11th floor of a hotel that overlooks the city.  It was raining, so we didn't get the full experience that we would have on the patio, but it was still pretty fabulous.

The last day we did a bit more sight seeing and then upon realizing how tired we were, we bought a few bottles of wine and sat on the edge of a canal as we drank and waved to the boats that floated by.

It was the perfect end to the perfect trip.

I know this post was a bit photo-heavy and to be honest, there were so many I left out! I could have added so much more.  It was such a fun trip - I can't believe I've been home for a month already. My how time flies!
